Hi,
Have Migri been slow with your queue also 🙄
In the last 2 weeks my position in the queue just moved by 15 positions. my queue number is 30xx. this is really frustrating 😐

Interesting, my queue number today is almost exactly 1700, and moved by last two weeks for 25 positions. Another thing that shows that queue number doesn't tell us more then just a number. :D :beer_yum: No FIFO here unfortunately.

For me it’s 144 down since 1st December but I am at 5100+ queue right now.

December and July is slow processing months for migri due to holiday season.

but that is completely illogical. i mean if i am 3000 and you are 1700, and yours have moved by 25 positions, mine should also move at least 25 positions. actually it should be more if they processed any applications in the 2000 margin. total chaos in migri

another issue is that i have been noticing a lot of people crossing their processing time frame with no decision what so ever. i have been now exactly 14 months in the queue. based on migri website i should get an answer in the next 6 months as the processing time for my case is UP to 20 months. In normal cases i would wait for 6 more months, i mean i am not dying for the citizenship. But that is not the case with migri, it can go endlessly this stupid procedure 🙄

My number is 37xx and my queue number has only gone down by 10 in the last week. It seems to be getting slower and slower, in the last three days it stayed the same then went up by 1 😭

I moved to the stage 2 on 1st of December and still no answer :(
Maximum within a month you should get the decision, I just checked with my friend’s wife and her (stage 2)In processing time period was about 33 days.

If you don’t mind sharing your queue number when it moved to stage 2 and now? Migri service point? When you have applied?

not necessarily, i have been on stage 2 for 8 month now. i hope you will get a decision soon. but sometimes migri can put you for long time on stage 2 for no reason.

Me! I've been in stage 2 since 29/11 🥹

Why do you think we stuck here? From my research, stage 2 is kind of a "pre-approve" already, because if we missed something - we would have still stayed in stage 1?

It would be the best Christmas/NY present ever to have the decision by then! But I somehow doubt thid wish'd come true... 🥹

Hi, I have been following this thread for so long so now I want to contribute some to this.

Application submitted date: 23/06/2023
Migri appointment: 14/07/2023
Service point: Lappeenranta

I received an email says that my application was processed on 11/12/2023 and after about 20 mins, I got the decision :D

My background: Asian citizenship, came here to study bachelor's, graduated and worked for 2 years as a developer, never asked for any benefit from Kela

Thank you everyone for your contribution and wish you would get your decision soon. :)
Congratulations!!!

Could you please let us know the queue number at the time of decision ?
I don't check it much but the last time I checked on 05/12 it is 4916

I think I've read almost all 91 pages of this thread in random order  Interesting things!

It seems there is not a 100% consistent or clear pattern with the placements in the que and decision time, though; some theories were born from the few patterns that have been found.

Some of the processing seems to be increasingly automated.
Most notable, the apparent processing changes during/immediately after ''korona aika'' appear to have been most significant.
2020 - 2021 applications seem to have longest waiting times.
As of September 2023, it is not always required to visit service point. (This is situational and would require "strong authentication" credentials to not be required to visit.)
Perhaps there have been more speedy (6month/under decisions) in year 2023 compared to years prior.

Anyway, I'll join the fun! Who wants to race? :ochesey:

Application finalised/submitted: First week December 2023
Migri visit: Second week December 2023
Stage 2: Second week December 2023
Placement in que: 8400s

Hi! I see some mentions that some applicants can see when their application was last checked on studyinfo. How could I find it or am I misunderstanding something? Thank you in advance:)

BTW couple of my friends got their decisions in the past few days. They both applied in June and have been in the stage 2 for several weeks since November. So there is still hope to get fast processing for those in similar conditions :)

Hello!
So is that so that you have been moved to the stage 2 right after the migri visit? This has happened to me as well (applied October 2022) and apparently it is not that common
