Hi, guys, I amplanning to apply ofr citizenship, there was a break in my stay here. I had 4 years on B and 1 year on A before there was a break. Since tehn I have lived in Finland Conitnuos for 3 years now. I know that the B will not be considered due to the break in my stay.
I want to know if the 1 year on A will be considered.
If not can I apply when I have been here here 4 years continuous or do I need 5 years continous?

Interesting. Must be an error. I read in other forum that they are currently processing application from October and early November. I applied in November, since then no update.

Thanks for the reply tavastia.
I want to ask question on behalf of my friend. During his permit extension time he lost his job and when the police requested for update on his job he couldnt supply any document. It took the police almost 8 months to make a decision which was negative. during this 8 months he was in language school. He reapplied and got positive decision, this time he had a job.
According to migri, that 8 months is considered as legal but not lawful and as such there is a break in his stay, due to that he does not meet the minimum amount of time required to apply. that was why he got negative. Can he appeal the decision and on what basis?

Anytime you get a negative decision, it means that you have not been paying enough taxes. To get a successful appeal, you either need to 1) get your story to go viral in the media, or 2) start paying enough taxes. The viral route is no guarantee to success, while the tax route will almost always be successful - the government is almost never going to deny a good source of tax revenue.

Hahaha I don't think it's about taxes. My friend works professionally with an IT company for 3 years now.

Wooow, processing has started in almost a month time but no further process. Wonder if that's a mistake? If not, why so late?
