I moved to finland as I was employed directly by a finnish employer. I have A resident permit (special expert) provided based on the work grounds. Now I have few questions for which seeking answers.
1. What will happen if my employer lays me off?
2. Is it possible for me to quit the current job and work remotely for non-finnish company (UK or germany or US) and pay the taxes in finland and continue living here in finland?
3. If I switch job within finland to another company, do my resident permit needs to be renewed or do I need to inform migri?

Re: Resident permit and work
Migri can cancel your permit. You would, for example, try to find a new one before that happens.kallionguy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 2:39 pmI moved to finland as I was employed directly by a finnish employer. You would need to be approved for an entrepreneurship based permit first.kallionguy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 2:39 pm2. Is it possible for me to quit the current job and work remotely for non-finnish company (UK or germany or US) and pay the taxes in finland and continue living here in finland?
No need as long as it’s another specialist job.kallionguy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 2:39 pm3. If I switch job within finland to another company, do my resident permit needs to be renewed or do I need to inform migri?
