I still have a couple of months left before I complete the 4 year period. Does you line in the queue move?boy30062021 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:18 amI have been waiting for over 5 months now. Since I have few days to complete the 4 years maybe that is why mine took long. When did you apply and when your current permit is expiring? I know someone who has applied in October and still has not gotten it. Have you already completed your 4 years? Because I heard even 1 day left on your 4 years they will not give you

Your decision will not come soon as long as you have more than 1 day left to complete. My queue is very slow but moving about 20 a week. I have 39x as queue number. So just wait till the last day of your permit, it will not come. I have about few days to complete mine I will let you know about mineScolix wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:07 amI still have a couple of months left before I complete the 4 year period. When did you apply for PR? I thought you could only apply 3 months before the 4 year period.boy30062021 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:18 amI have been waiting for over 5 months now. I applied in November since the waiting time is 12-14 months. They recommend 3 months but I did earlier and there was no problem . Now I am just waiting the decision but it wont come until the 4 years is completed. but I have about 8 days before that.Scolix wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 5:04 pmWhen did you apply for PR? I have also citizenship application waiting to be processed about 10 months now and my permanent has been over 5 months now. So I am being patient and waiting whenever they feel they will give me Have you applied for citizenship?
Re: Permanent residence permit or citizenship
Do they collect the citizenship application before 10 months? I thought they will only accept it after 4 years are completed. What was your queue number(citizenship) when you applied? Was your application placed on the queue soon after you applied? I heard from one of my friend that the application enters the queue only after the completion of 4 years.boy30062021 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:19 pmI have also citizenship application waiting to be processed about 10 months now and my permanent has been over 5 months now. I have been here many years already 4 years on B and 4 years on A that will be completed soon. I am already in the queue it is about 35xx. Queue number is just stories do not focus on that. B permit is 1/2 of A so basicly I am eligible long time agoScolix wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:48 pmDo they collect the citizenship application before 10 months? You should see soon. Happy waiting time for you if you are lucky you might get it earlier if your permanent is being process. Best of luck
Re: Permanent residence permit or citizenship
This is NOT an objective statement.
What does "should" mean here?
What are "a few" months - 60?
What is "some amount" of effort - similar to pyramid building?
My personal experience as a smart person (and modest), but a native English speaker not great at languages, is that it took me two attempts and more than a year of "hard" study, having lived in Finland for MANY years but with only a casual relationship with the language, to scrape the minimum YKI combination for citizenship.
