Re: PR Application 2023
I submitted the PR application recently. 1400 applicants were in the queue. The waiting time appears very long.
- Can I change the job (from a company employee to creating a startup) during the pending state?
- If I decide to change the job, will my employer report my resignation to Migri or will Migri check with the employer? Does this affect PR results?
Really appreciate your help.
Kind regards.

Migri has access to everything about us. They have access to your income now.
You can change your job to enterpreneurship, just know that you will not the get PR because your situation has change from the last time you got your expring 4 yrs of A permit. .They may give you btw 1-4;yrs of A permit again. Once you fulfill the requirements to apply for PR on your new situation, then they will give you the PR

I got positive decision last week. My queue number was around 250 and there was still 1.5 months till 4 year residency requirement.kalaizanala wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 9:15 amMigri starts to check permanent permit application when the 4-year residency requirement is met. I applied 1.5 months ago. I didn't spend 4 years in A permit and I didn't have any other permit before.Daniel2016 wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 11:10 amWow congrats.

Congratulations! Is your application work based or family based?

Re: PR Application 2023
I applied on 17 May and got positive decision on 31 May.
Studied as an exchange student and then came as a highly skilled specialist.
On 14 May it was exactly 4 years since I officially moved to Finland. My first A permit was issued on 30 March 2019.

Hello guys,
Are we going to be affected with the new immigration policy? when is this going to be implemented? How are we sure that they will change the policy to make it more favourable? Let's discuss guys!

Nobody knows anything yet, because so far we’ve only seen proposals. We are all waiting impatiently for the details.Daniel2016 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 9:34 amHello guys,

Re: PR Application 2023
Changes to the law are expected to enter into force this autumn or early next year, it is unlikely that pending applications of made before that date would be affected.Daniel2016 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 9:34 amAre we going to be affected with the new immigration policy? when is this going to be implemented?
Re: PR Application 2023
This estimate is extremely positive. The proposed program even states that the new government hopes to give the proposal to the parliament by the end of this year. This merely starts the process. Even after the law is accepted by the parliament, it rarely becomes effective immediately but rather has an effective date. I would even be surprised if the changes become operative during next year. My guess is two or three years from now on if the proposal ever manages to pass all the reviews and get accepted by the parliament in the first place.FinlandGirl wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 2:50 pmChanges are expected to enter into force law this autumn or early next year, it is unlikely that pending applications of made before that date would be affected.Daniel2016 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 9:34 amAre we going to be affected with the new immigration policy? when is this going to be implemented?

Re: PR Application 2023
Hi everyone,
This topic is really great. I have some concerns really seeking for advice from you
I come to Finland from 2016 for study with B-rp from 2016-2019. From 2019-2020, I got my first A-rp. And from 2020-now, I am holding another A-rp.
My questions is “Will my PR be negative?”
I have applied for PR from 11/2022 and now I am at 170. I have been working from whole my A-rp, no unemployment and no go back to study. I meet all the requirements for PR.
However, my contract is full-time fixed-term for 1 year (it will end in 9/2023). Due to one fact in my work place, my employer gives contract for 1 year only and all the time. I have been working there for 3 years continuously (with 3 times renew contract). All those information is clear on contracts and pay-slips (on pay-slips, information is 3 years continuously) which I attached in the application.
Everything is easier if I get another contract renewal. However, from 6/2023-8/2023, I am on sickleave due to working accident. Now I am not sure if my employer want to renew my contract or not. I am sure I will ask them.
I want to get advice from everyone that whether I get the negative decision? And what should I do in this situation?
I am very worried and really waiting to hear any advice from everyone.
Thanks.

Re: PR Application 2023
You must spend 4 years on A before they will grant your PR. I have seen some few exceptions here though. If you are not into high demand job/ top professional/ or European citizenship(there are other cases also), I think you may have to wait for 4 years of A is fulfil before they will grant your PR. To be frank you have not qualified for PR but citizenship( plus language requirement).
Once you are fine, pls look for job that will give you indefinite contract.
