We've had them in our neighbourhood too. No idea if they were Romanians or not, I didn't ask for their ID, but they didn't look very Finnish. They were peering into the house and the garage etc. Luckily we have two very noisy dogs and an alarm system. I keep the doors locked even when I'm indoors. Mostly so the dogs don't run outside every time they hear a noise but it also keeps unwanted guests out. It would be relatively easy to walk into our house while the kids are asleep/gaming/etc or while I'm pottering in the garden. We didn't report them to the police but I think one of our neighbours did.

Is that all?

Isn't entering a house without invitation a crime in its own right? As in the "entering" part of "breaking and entering"?

I guess they think such a "business card" is the difference between going to jail and not going to jail. I just wonder, is it really that easy?
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

I think it's pretty easier to see that guy is actually selling something that demonstrating he entered in a private property - that's something that happened, but nobody saw that apart from OP, so it's difficult to demonstrate imho.

Put visa requirements on Romanian and Bulgarian citizens until their government sorts out this mess.
Then Bulgaria and Romania would start to feel the urge to do something about their citizens and would not just think "well, as long as they are gone from our country...".

I blame the liberal dreamers and their utopian fantasies. Their selfish pursuits have left the people, especially the old and infirm, vulnerable to violence and robbery.

The authorities should crack down hard on Romanian/Bulgarian beggars, they bring nothing of benefit and just drain resources.

Anyone who voted PS in the last election, give yourself a pat on the back. At least a proposal to tackle the problem is being tabled now. Let's hope some other politicians forget their utopian dreamland long enough to give the proposal some backing.
Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

We are living in a political and critical economic melt down, every E.U government are striving so hard to inject cash into their systems from any source. I would not be surprise very soon Russian citizens will be granted a visa free status to all European countries. 'The time is nigh' :ohno:
