Skrolli is a Finnish old-school computer hobbyist magazine, published both in print and as DRM-free PDFs. It has been running for about three years now. Paying subscribers get the fresh issues first, but the older back issues are available as free downloads in PDF format for everyone (including the non-paying folks as well.)
“Old-school”, in this case, means they cater for people who are interested in tinkering with various devices (both new and retro: hacking, coding, building electronics, 3D printing etc.) and also run articles about the past and present culture related to these things (the Usenet, BBSes, typography and computers, Cold War and computers etc.) They do not do hip gadget-of-the-day reviews or follow the stock market or quote whatever Zuckerberg said last. In other words, they’re definitely not a “consumer” magazine but seek to offer a more “1980s” hobbyist magazine experience.
Just posting this heads-up as the concept they have is quite interesting and they’re currently doing an AMA on Reddit (this should answer all the questions you might have)...

...and, last but not least, have recently started a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo, with the goal to create an English-language edition of Skrolli:
