Re: finland needs workers

Since obviously you did not understand a bit of what I wrote, the gist was that these issues do not only concern you (or me); so let us not be too self-centred now. Even if you are happy enough in your non-Finnish learning situation, the same is not true of many other immigrants. Most of the immigr...

Re: finland needs workers

I don't think its as much of news that theres someone foreign at the workplace, but at the end of the day we've only had such an "immigration avalanche" the past 10 years. Things aren't going to change overnight - the government only *last year* actually drafted a policy paper regarding immigration...

Re: finland needs workers

Please answer! Suurin osa minun tu...

Re: High € will tear down EU economy

... at least EU major exporters (aka Finland) suffer from very expensive Euro. Nokia is just a first drop in heavy rain. I think this will not be any problem at all for our giant according to shrecher: Nokia is excellent company to work for foreigns. It offers competitive salary (50 K-75K per year)...

Re: finland needs workers

Why Finnish state shouldn't love guest workers, even we don't speak Finnish? Please answer! Because you are source of future trouble. This is not true. If it would be true, we would not have so easy work permit and pysyvä. For reference, look at Germany and gastarbeiters from Turkey. They never int...

Re: finland needs workers

But the sooner you understand that learning Finnish (or Swedish, depends a bit on the area) is more or less the ONLY key to real integration First, what do you mean under integration? Conduct business or be hired here the English is enough. I can also admit English is enough to contact the official...

Re: finland needs workers

There is "free" movement to come, nobody says we have to hire them. You underestimate it. Here is a lots of people working. Like 1900 berry pickers from Thai. People work here in construction, IT, trade, people have business here. There are workers from all EU countries. Strangely, why don't ...

Re: finland needs workers

Well, scercher, I'm going to pull the USSR card here. "Big country, big tolerances" where you could get by with the quantity of people, or quantity of production, and quality is then depending if its monday or the beginning of the month or end of the month when you have to get the quota filled. Fin...

Re: finland needs workers

Just imagine the first mom with her child who doesn't know English well enough, or at all really, explaining away to the dear 1000-word fluent Doctor about the invisible symptoms - when they started, what the kid has been eating lately, where and how exactly does it hurt and a myriad of other thing...

Re: finland needs workers

Are you a complete moron..? No I dont think so.. If you want to be understood and if you need to understand your customers/clients/patients. It is a two way conversation... 1000 words is not enough to work in a Hotel reception/bar. 1000 words is not enough to work in a health care clinic. 1000 word...
