Even more common is to have the balconies closed with glass.
OP should be aware that those can make the balcony a second sauna during the summer.

what's the difference with usual employment(vacations, seek leaves, bonuses and so on)?
You have to ask those from your boss. And if you are sole trader, you are the boss. Ask your boss to do deals that make enough money so you can take vacation, be sick and get bonus. :P

Re: Buy a home or not ?

even better if you have BOTH radiators AND floor based heating. Just like with pants, even better with belt and suspenders. Oh yes. Do wear pants, and then the trousers with belts and suspenders. :ochesey: I wonder if and how both radiators and floor heating would work. Afaik, you don't need as hot...

Re: Buy a home or not ?

Best option would be a house with geo-thermal or heat pump based heating. Isn't geo-thermal something you can add yourself, but require a huge sum of installation cost? Nah, usually it means heat well (usually drilled) of hundred meters or more. You won't be doing that yourself. And needs likely a ...

Re: Asokodit EV charging

Normally with a gasoline vehicle, these do not get a limited range due to very low temperatures, (and when empty, you can go get a jerrycan with gasoline). EV's do get a limited range at subzero temperatures.... Both get limited range at subzero temperatures. Without preheating the gas engine you c...

drywall with plasterboard.... forget it, it will come down if you cannot screw it to the wooden frame inside the wall. ... Good luck. Good luck indeed. Dunno how things stand now, but early 2000s at least builders liked to use metal frames in apartment buildings: https://www.stark-suomi.fi/fi/pysty...

Re: Washing machine in dishwasher space?

clean the strainer quite often, at least once a month. Wouldn't it be better to check your pockets first rather then keep opening up the filter housing? I have had my clothes washing machine over 10 years and I think I've had to check the filter twice in that time. In normal use it never needs atte...

Re: Hold multiple EU country permits?

Hi everyone! I am a Non-EU person currently working in Finland(after completing masters) with an A type permit(expiry date end of 2024). I might be getting a job offer soon from a company in Netherlands. So, my question, is it possible to hold permits of 2 EU countries? Let's say in the worst case ...

Re: disowning a family member and his property

I would like to disown my father. He is running a business. and I have a share in that. Certainly I will remove that. But he’s taking certain actions that may not turn out to be good in future. For example, trying to invite some people from India that I don’t think are good enough. (Greedy people w...

Re: Wet room renovation prices

I would recommend that you ask for the labour prices and the items separately. I have often asked the prices around, and IF the contractor is able to get the products cheaper than what I find, then I ask them to get it, and for sure, I also ask for itemised bills. And remember that item at the chec...

Re: Washing machine in dishwasher space?

Also what about cleaning? :?: That would be the thing I would be most worried. I lose change all the time in my washer and thus clean the strainer quite often, at least once a month. The filth from the filter is easy to deal with in bathroom, but I wouldn't want it all over my kitchen. And at least...

Re: Fixing hob gap

As seen in this photo https://imgur.com/a/SWFIdfz There is a gap between the hob and the surface, does anyone know how can I fix it? Is it a normal thing or a symptom of something bigger? Thanks in advance :) Imho that sits way too high. Is the gap same all around? Have you looked at the manual, it...
