Re: Corona virus Elderly, Vulnerable , where to get help?

You could also try calling the M.A.P. Kirkko +358 444 555 402 and ask for help. You just never know. :)

Re: Divorce behind a back. is that possible in Finland??

Divorce under Finnish law tends to be fast and with no payment obligations to the other spouse, other countries often have slower divorces and more payment obligations. Child custody and alimony will likely be decided based on the law of the country where they are currently living. Thus it would be...

Re: Importing car from Germany and import tax

You've obviously forgotten, governments don't serve the people, they are served by the people. They do this through taxes. Some are worse than others.

Re: Depression and Finnish language

Hello there. I am new here. Is it hard to learn Finnish language and do local people speak English? Thanks. Many Finns speak English quite well but they are very self conscious about possibly making mistakes. Therefore, they are often very reluctant to use their English speaking capabilities except...

Re: which programme provide a more job opportunities for the graduated one in Finland?

After reading your post, I'm concerned that you do not have an adequate command of the English language (and probably not Finnish either) to use your education anywhere other than your country of birth. base your decision on what will provide the best results in your home country.

Re: Noisy neighbors

Actually, in the Rental/Lease agreement is written that "quiet time" begins at a certain time and lasts until a reasonable time in the morning. Those who have purchased or own their apartment are also obligated to follow the same rules. Simply obtain a copy of those rules, get a Finnish speaking fri...

Re: X helper problems?

I only plan to be there for the summer so a visa should be enough? I don't know how long one would have to be there to require a residence permit.

X helper problems?

I'm considering coming to Finland and staying for the summer as a helper in the "Help X " program. Are there any government hoops that I'm going to have to jump through? I just hate having governmental surprises. :x :x

Re: URGENT HELP - NEGATIVE DECISION

Why fight the system? Just transfer the amount of money required into a Finnish bank account until you get approval and then transfer it back to the original bank. The transfer fees are substantially less that the costs of fighting this thing. :?

Highly educated in what? Every day there are hundreds of jobs offered at the ministry of labor site. They want all sorts of engineers and people who can work with electronics. They even have jobs for people who don't speak Finnish.

Free WiFi

I've looked over the past six month of posts and I don't see anything about areas or establishment that offer free public WiFi. I'm planning to visit some of my former exchange students in Finland and some of them do not have internet connectivity in their homes. Cities I'm particularly interested i...

Click on the link "this". There's also a "housekeeper" position in Helsinki.
