Re: My Experience With Integration Finnish Classes So Far

Hi! You can continue practicing your spoken Finnish skills in a Finnish Language Cafe near you. They aren't everywhere, but you can ask your local library if they have one, of if they are able to arrange it. Search Google with "kielikahvila" + name of your town. "Suomen kielen keskust...

Hi!
The song was written at the time of the Finnish Civil War 1918, but it was published after the war.
The song is written on the White side, to honor the White Guard soldiers on the Southern Ostrobothnian front.

Re: need to buy a table or desk fan

Hi! Due to the long lasting hot weather almost all fans are sold out in the shops. - - The shops won't order any more of them until next summer - sales in fall and winter are very low, as you can understand. Try K-Rauta Ruoholahti or Malmi (if you're in Helsinki area) - they might still have a few l...

Hi!
When in Helsinki, a good place to practice your spoken Finnish is a Finnish Language Cafe at some libraries.
- They're free of charge and you just walk in.

Moi! What that text "Kiitos, että jaksoit sählätä kanssamme" basically means. is "Thanks for working with us". However, it's put in a bit humorous way, "Thanks for your patience for messing around with us" - A nice comment and a nice gift. It's very obvious, that they r...
