Re: Why is it so hard to get a doctor?
As Rinso suggested go private. Diacor or Mehiläinen for an initial consultation, at least. I am originally from the UK and I find the service I've been having under the Finnish National system very good. The fact that the doctors seem young to you is a matter of you aging. I hope all goes well with ...

Blue Parking Badge
Hi all, As the UK is non longer a Member State can the EU/Finnish Blue Parking Badge for disabled drivers still be used in the UK? :-D 27/07/22 I discovered it can be used in the UK. Just to note:- if it's used in a shopping centre, multi storey car park, that has options of payment on entry, choos...

Re: Expat car Insurance UK
Thanks, Secret,
It's like a minefield and one company has quoted £289. for 28 days, so I'm using that as a base. I'll certainly take a look at the sites you've suggested.
Kind regards,

Expat car Insurance UK
Hi all,
I have to return to the UK. My son is letting me use his car, but I have to MOT, Tax and insure it. I haven't had UK car insurance for over 9 years. Is it easy to get car insurance for a month or so?
If so, can anyone recommend an insurance company.
Thanks in advance.

All British women born in the 1950s
You may be aware that the UK Government changed the goal posts on the retirement age for women, not once, but twice. WASPI International (ex pat 1950s Ladies fighting state pension changes) have been working hard to persuade the Government to plan some sort of transitional pay scheme to prevent furt...

Re: Furnishing - Seeking guidance
Hi, Another place to buy items would be the recycling centres:- Pirkanmaan kierrätys ja työtoiminta ry, Jankan Kierrätyskeskus, Recyclingcenter Lielahti. These are in the Tampere area. quite often you will find good quality items, at lower prices, ie - kitchenware, curtains, rugs, lamps. You may eve...

Cat Spaying
Hi,
I know a person, on a low income, who has a cat that needs to be spayed. Is there an equivalent of the PDSA (UK) here?
Thanks in advance.

TAX RESIDENCY FORM FROM UK BANK
My UK bank have sent me a form to fill in. I've tried to call them on the numbers given, but no response. The form gives the Embassy as the place where I need to get the form and documents certified. The Embassy have said that it's not them. They also require: Self certification Form (which I'm look...
