Re: Where to buy baby items
Huuto.net has a ton of baby stuff on it. So do the forums for Kaksplus and Vauva magazines.
If you're looking for a baby bouncer, I probably still have one hanging around that I'd let go
for cheap. I also have a lot of baby clothes that I've not gotten around to selling off.

Re: For Sushi at Home, Skip the Fish
Enk, any chance of you sharing your fishmonger with me?!! The main one I use is the Argentinian woman in Hakaniemi kauppahalli. She's absolutely fabulous! Oh the price of these Nori sheets here is so expensive and for such a small pack too! Do you know anyplace where I can get them cheaper (...

Re: music in finalnd
If you play the type of music commonly played in jam sessions, take your instrument with you and join in :D And just because the jam session is in an Irish bar doesn't mean that's all they play. Black Door has been known to have everything from Irish to Appalachian folk to Russian songs. A nice weir...

Is this restricted solely to couples that are still together?

Re: For Sushi at Home, Skip the Fish
I skip the seaweed & rice, just the fish  :D One of my fav quotes about sushi comes from my ex-MIL: "I just don't get the big hullabaloo about sushi; it just tastes like fish and rice" :D She went on to put salt on top of each and every piece of sushi in front of her  -enk

Re: For Sushi at Home, Skip the Fish
Anyone seen any Sushi places doing this kind of thing? That's nothing really new; quiet a few Japanese don't eat flesh of any sort for religious reasons. It's just been hidden in the West due to the obsessive mantra of "sushi equals fish" in the heads of Westerners. I don´t know, why not....

Re: Spanish institutes in Finland
The OP compared Finland to Sweden, a country that has a couple of million people of foreign origin, and hundreds of thousands with Spanish as their first language. So yeah, compared to Sweden, it really is a joke to have an institute like that in Finland. Psst, Finland had more than its fair share ...

Re: This finnish language, why is it no one can master it???
Well, there's still one good thing about finnish for me! As someone said previously, it's spoken as it's written. My language -spanish- as well. there are little exceptions to this : - the 'y' in Finnish is pronounced as 'uu' - the 'j' is pronounced as 'y' instead. There are a heck of a lot of exce...

Re: Sorrel - Suolaheinä
Not that I know of, at least we call it bloody sorrel in the USA :D Apparently it's real name in English is "red-veined dock" (Rumex sanguineus). Mangold is a variety of beet. Viinisuolaheinä can be eaten as is, even though it has that mouthpuckering taste to it. Wild sorrel is usually so ...

I've got a shredder, but I still find it easier to take the docs to the safe box at Sello
where you can offload them for burning. As a matter of fact, our home shredder
is being used nowadays as the place where we store those docs until we can take
them to Sello
