Re: Rent a stairclimber

This is the kind of thing I would want to buy and keep :D and it looks like you can get one for 60-70€ from K-Rauta, Puuilo etc. But my last move was from a place with a lift to a place with a lift, so the nokkakärry I bought isn't a stairclimber. I see you can rent one for 12,40 a day inc VAT from...

would you recommend buying a washing machine secondhand, or is that more trouble than it is worth?
It can be cheaper.

What means of transportation do you have for a washing machine?

Re: Question about laundry room vs. drying room

Limiting your choices this way might not be smart. Financially, buying an own washing machine would be cheaper than paying 50 Euro more per month in rent. Shared washing machines with a rental system tend to be only provided by apartment rental companies like Sato or Lumo that also don't require an...

Re: Question about laundry room vs. drying room

i'm looking for a new place to rent - the one i'm staying at belongs to my institution and i can only be here for 3 months - and i have a question. i was excluding buildings that said they had a shared "drying room" and not a "laundry room" because i understood it to just be a s...

A different approach is a long thin vent cut into the window frame itself.
Another approach is getting the air through the windows of a double-glass window, small openings at the bottom of the outer side and small holes (that can be closed) at the top inside.

Re: Applying in Finland? - RP Intimate Relationship

even though this seems like a wasted opportunity for Finland to receive more tax revenue from me. During the time where you officially reside in Finland, you anyway have to report to Vero and might have to pay taxes on it. You have to report your worldwide income to Vero. If your parents gift you $...

- The jobs you mention, are not disappearing, they are done by the same workers that otherwise would be exploited by corporate greed for the benefit of foreign shareholders, now employed by the state instead of in those instances the state paying 2 to 3 times the amount of unemployment benefits per...

Re: Applying in Finland? - RP Intimate Relationship

Would the Finnish Residence Permit based on an intimate Relationship still work for me? I am US citizen and my girlfiend is an Estonian citizen, though she is currently studying at university in Finland. I am 20 and she is 22. I have a remote job that pays over $12,000 a year and we can easily prov...

I want to send some goods from United States to Finland. I wonder if anyone know an cheap way to transport some goods to USA to Finland. Shipping time doesn't really matter... Sending a moving box as parcel with the United States Postal Service might work. If you (or someone you know) plans to visi...

Re: Unemployment benefit cuts take effect on Monday; monthly support may drop by nearly €400

Could there be a solution that we have a minimum wage that would be enough to cover all basic needs (this includes for example, but is not limited to: food, clothing, healthcare, housing, energy, transport, communication, leisure). Finland already has this, through the labour market subsidy combine...

I read at Yle the following: Unemployment benefit cuts take effect on Monday; monthly support may drop by nearly €400 ... Anyone any comments on this? Please assume for the discussion, that the unemployed are not willful unemployed, and that a big part of the people affected by these measures are a...

My husband and I are looking into finding a way to relocate to Finland with our two wonderful babies. My husband has a PhD in Chemistry and has gotten close to receiving a job offer there, but came up short to someone who already resides there. He used to be a professor for 2 different colleges. I ...

Re: Opinions on kela and tax changes?

I will refrain from going in further detail, because it would require copying very long and extensive law texts and EU-court case law And especially that last sentence we can argue here that Finland is violating those principles You are making a fool of yourself when you first boldly talk about &qu...
