Re: Citizenship Application 2023

Should Finnish citizens who also have the citizenship of the enemy during a war have a duty to fight against their other country of citizenship

They do; the Constitution doesn't make exceptions for dual nationals: https://www.finlex.fi/fi/laki/ajantasa/1999/19990731#a731-1999

Re: Citizenship Application 2023

That's obsolete information.

This was reaffirmed until the ratification of the Sixth Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights, which never happened.

Last year Russia withdrew from the Council of Europe before they would have been expelled, the European Convention on Human Rights ...

Re: Citizenship Application 2023

currently dual-citizen Finnish men visiting their relatives in Russia when the border closes at the start of the next war between Finland and Russia might end up with a legal obligation to fight against Finland.

There is already a legal way to revoke your citizenship for treason, in this ...

The point is probably to not have Russian citizens having dual-citizenship. Like "pick a side".
Nepal, Japan, Indonesia and a few other countries don't allow double-citizenship either, so their citizens either choose to lose their native citizenship or just live forever abroad on a permanent ...

Re: Citizenship Application 2023

SUPO has been doing random chats with citizenship applicants for past twenty years. And a number of Russians had such chats and got their decisions fast still. Even nowadays.

Re: Police gave me a fine for endangered driving after my car skidded and crashed out of my driving lane?

I don't think you have a case unfortunately. As a driver, you're expected to be going at a speed where you are able to keep control of the vehicle, even if the speed limit is higher. If you lost control of the car, it will be deemed that you were driving too fast for the conditions.

How are you gonna deal with tenants' requests (for which you're legally liable) while you're away?

Other things such as maintenance, if this is an apartment, the caretaker (isännöitsijä) will handle it, including e.g. plumbing or electricity failures etc. Other things like home improvement ...

Low interest rates have been pushing the prices upwards for a while. Now, many people have overleveraged themselves with low Euribor and now are suffering dearly and ...
