Yes, thanks, that music is good. I also like heavy rock music from Finland- H.I.M and setenced!

Tuulen Nostatus (Raising the Wind), written and performed by the artist Sanna Kurki-Suonio, but unfortunately that track is not available on YouTube.

Here is a preview, however, by Finnish choir ensemble Philomela: Philomela

You will have to pay for the commercial recording, but the artist Sanna Kurki-Suonio really lights this song on fire!

Edit: To give the artists full credit, let the YouTube clip play to the very end, including the many credits following.

Edit #2: I finally found the original by Sanna Kurki-Suonio; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPMjFJfnhJA

Parasta ikinä – a song from YLE’s daily soap Uusi päivä (where it was apparently performed by a fictional high school band called Vihreät valot):

The clothing is a bit weird even for fictional high school students. Maybe there’s a reason for that, though – I’ve never watched the show. The “music video” also appears very random, cheap, and haphazard. The lyrics are naïve and nothing to write home about. But I like the song itself!

(Frankly, the video looks like it was shot by some amateur theatre group in some Nowheremäki while trying out wardrobe acquired from the local charity shop... and what’s with the granma and granpa hats? Well, most songs are better without the music video, anyway.)

Kiitos, Jukka! Rajaton is refreshingly different and delightfully good. Good music!

Parasta ikinä is a lively piece of music, too, and the video speaks of good fun. But that song was written and performed by professional-grade musicians.

Edit: When it comes to music, CLOSE your EYES, and "WATCH" with your EARS.

Edit #2: The voice that you hear might not belong to the face that you see. Picture "studio" musicians, with a microphone in front of them and with headphones over their ears.

Edit #3: For those without Flash Player installed on their computer: Parasta ikinä on YouTube

There's also music by young people that doesn't really make it to tv. :D

Vottikaalina = "As dedicated cabbage" - a woman's lament on her situation in life.

Of the above two tunes, Metsän tyttö and Vottikaalina, the tunes are Karelian, the men are Swedish, the women are Finnish and the women are from Sibelius Academy.
