Jyvaskyla bugle call?

Post by Finalfin » Sun Sep 06, 2015 10:12 pm

Hi everyone!

I recently visited Jyvaskyla, stayed for almost two weeks in Cumulus hotel near city center. Every day at 8 pm some melody was being played in the neighborhood which I could hear from outside my window.

My guess is, this was a trumpet or something similar. The melody was always the same. I tried to google for it, but in vain. What was the melody, and where was it played? Can anybody tell me?

Thanks very much in advance.

Thank you very much. The link you provided has very low quality sound, but the title was all I needed to google for the rest.

Thank you again.

I was there recently and I heard it as well. I asked a guy in the street, he said that they play it every day after May Day until the end of the summer. It's been played for about 40 years.

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.
