English activities for children..

Post by Cory » Fri Oct 03, 2003 8:16 am

We are always on the look-out for English language venues for our children. Perhaps others can share what they've found for their children...ie...library story-time, playgroups, muscial or sports clubs, etc.

Thanks!

Cory

You could always look into the American - Finnish Society in your local town. I think there is one in Heinola...if not their, I know there is one in Kouvola and in Lahti..they always have stuff for the kids in both Finnish and in English..as well as the parents too...

worth a quick look at least...
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Finding Nemo is coming..

Post by Cory » Fri Oct 03, 2003 10:30 pm

Just found out that Finding Nemo, a story about a little fish who goes missing from his home in the ocean, is opening 28.11 at Tennispalatsi.
A week or 2 before the dubbed version opens, the theatre shows the original English version. You'd need to call Lippupalvelu to find the viewing dates and times...they change their lineups on Tuesdays.

We saw it in Canada in the summer and we all enjoyed it. Very well produced with great visuals and sound for the children.
