sites for kids

Post by ajdias » Wed Nov 26, 2003 11:42 am

Does anybody know of any good sites for young kids, say 3-4 yeras old? A good site is, for instance, this swedish page the singing horses: it is entertaining, and requires only the use of the mouse.

Animations without educational purposes like this pointless duel are also good. In this case the kid only has to press the button to play it once again.

Any pages wpould be greatly appreciated. Feel free to post websites for other age groups as well!

Here are links with some stupid free games. You will certainly like some of them.

However, your kids will not. At the age of four they probably like to play with their friends, and leaving a silly dad alone.

At the age of fourteen you suddenly notice they know more about java, programming etc. then you yourself.

Our daughter, Katariina, is 2 and a half years old. She enjoys the following:

Hi,

This is fun for kids..
http://www.redcross.fi/bobo/

(click on 'astu sisään peliin' link to start the game)

If I remember correctly, It is a game meant to teach kids about racial tolerance and equality. I guess it was made specifically for Finland. Hmmm..

Anyway, the aim is to help bobo navigate on a new planet, and to do that, bobo has to make friends with creatures who don't necessarily look like him.

I had tested this game with 3 kids as part of my university project, and the kids really enjoyed it.

Give it a try...

Nick jr and disney are fun, but I usually let my kids play with the Reader Rabbit games I seem to be stockpiling.
