First resident permit based on family tie (spouse) for a none-EU 2018

Post by Faceit » Thu Aug 16, 2018 6:28 pm

Hello guys!
This is for those of you waiting to be united with there significant other in Finland. I just want to ask how the queue is going for the first resident permit for a spouse non-EU going in 2018.

I am a mid March applicant and still waiting to hear frm migri. Is there anyone out there who applied in 2018 and got a decision?

I understand from other threads that cases vary individually but just to know which month migri is handling now.

- 9.7.2018 Wife fill the RP application (Enter finland online).
- 9.7.2018 visited at embassy at Thailand.
- 13.7.2018 got comfirmation about checked identification
- 13.7.2018 Process started.

Seems that this will take longer than other 2 couples, who got decision within 3 weeks...
So, I got tickets to Bangkok and booked hotel for 21-30th next month...
If she get decision + RP card up to that time, we will fly back together... but....

Did you get told that your wife will get the permit faster or why such lack of trust?

He heard of some other couple with a completely different application and set of circumstances got the decision in 3 weeks, so he worked out that he should have his decision in 3 weeks too. Since it took three months, he "lost trust".
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

"BEEEEB" WRONG! You can believe whatever you want as "besserwisser"
people usually do...

I have had a lot different things with finnish offices... Nothing more
about those, but I just can tell, that couple times I really need recordings
to proof what I've talked with officer and what officer answered.
Saved a LOT of trouble later...

The decision should come in 4 to 9 months? Have you been informed otherwise?

I KNOW that time calculator says 4-9 months. I also know, that clear
cases can be solved under month, since couple of our friends got RP
already (even worse start conditions on life). I also know (talked with
migri officers), that time calculator is updated BY HAND! So, it can
be several months out of real conditions as it is right now, since May.
I also know, that my wife case is "clear" too. No any criminal
history, I have permanent job, own house, so no problem how to get
money and place for living... not too big age difference, we sure are
NOT kids anymore, she is not asylum seeker, never been.... sooooo many things....

So, if I'm curious, how and why it takes so long, and now that "besserwisser"
starts to be a smart ass, without knowing anything about our situation and grounds... uhhhhh....

Yeah, looked those 133 pages of msgs what beepboop sent here...

He knew about some other couple with an entirely exceptional application and set of events obtained the goals in 3 weeks, so he worked out that he should have his goals in twenty one days as well.
