Moving to Finland in March
So, all decided, i'll be moving to FInland in March for 6 months initially.
After 6 months i will decide if i can stay more or not.
I have some questions:
I'm an EU Citizen, could do the first 6 months like if i'm on holiday?
I will work from home for my english employer, and i will need to rent house/open an electricity contract and a broadband contract.
Do i need henkilötunnus to do this?

No. You can only do 3 months. After that, you have to register your right of residence with the authorities.Sighthound wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2018 12:47 pmI'm an EU Citizen, could do the first 6 months like if i'm on holiday?
In most cases, yes.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Re: Moving to Finland in March
Thanks,
could someone also help me with the following.
I will be working for a company in UK ( where i work now ).
is it correct that:
If i stay only 6 months i pay taxes only in uk.
If i continue to stay after 6 months, i pay Wage taxes in finand but i can continue to pay social taxes in uk for up to 2 years.
Now, if i continue to stay do i need to pay back taxes also for the first 6 months?

Have you looked at what the tax treaty says? https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... x-treatiesSighthound wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2018 9:59 pmThanks,

Re: Moving to Finland in March
You go to see a doctor. Or you go to a private clinic that does those scans. Doctor might also refer you to a scan if s/he needs that scan done. In private sector you pay a lot, public side you pay little. You do have European health insurance card with you? http://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=559Sighthound wrote: ↑Wed Mar 28, 2018 4:58 pmAnother question.

If you haven't registered here and you are working for a UK employer then I guess you are a tourist...?
Your EU healthcard covers you if you use public sector healthcare.

Aren’t you required to register after 90 days? Maybe I am mistaken but that is what I was told.Sighthound wrote: ↑Thu Mar 29, 2018 9:49 pmYes for 6 months I am a tourist then ( if I stay more ) I become resident

The six month rule applies to taxation.
