When you apply for your first family-based RP, Migri says to wait in the country where you applied until you receive a decision. Is that also the case for your extended family-based RP application? I am wondering if I will be able to travel to my home country while I have a pending application. My initial RP will still be valid the whole time.
https://migri.fi/en/cohabiting-partner- ... sh-citizen says "You should wait for the residence permit in the same country or locality where you submitted your application and proved your identity."
But https://migri.fi/en/application-for-an- ... amily-ties isn't explicit either way...

There’s no rule against leaving. Given that you have a valid RP, you just travel.jperickson wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 11:51 amWhen you apply for your first family-based RP, Migri says to wait in the country where you applied until you receive a decision.
