POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW POSITION
The Optoelectronics Research Centre, ORC, in the Tampere University of Technology, Finland, seeks outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral research position. Applicants should be committed to excellence in compound semiconductor technology and ad-vanced characterization methods. The position is for two years with possibilities for additional years, starting on the 1st of August, 2003.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The purpose is to advance the professional competence and independence of a young researcher who has recently earned his / her doctorate. The duties consist of research in the above-said areas of science and supervision of the-sis and dissertation writers in his/her own field.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required qualifications:
• Have demonstrated ability to work in a world-class research program in these areas
• Capacity to work effectively both as a team leader and independently
• Capacity to develop and expand independent, externally funded research projects
• PhD degree completed.
