hei!
i'm the next one moving to finland. I'm going to tampere. Puhun vähän suomea...
i've been readin a lot here at the forum, it seems to me that the people who doesn't care too much on startin at a low level salary has mo' probability of success.
well, this is my case, as far as i'm not engineer, graduated in university (never went there), or a freelance designer...
in fact, i used to be a fotographer, but i realized i prefer work in a restaurant or hotel. and let art for my leisure time.
i've been in finland twice by now, and i love it. and i really want to try to live there, to check if i really fit there.
but at the moment i'm manager in a restaurant of a big pizza company in spain, but in finland i'll probably will have to start again washing dishes.
no problem.
but, i just wonder... how much is the minimun salary there? i've been reading here about 5 euros per hour. that makes 800 a month.
was it with or without taxes?
and, oh... thanks for all the info here... it's usefull!

It is nationally binding.
Dishwasher gets minimum ~1200 /mo and waiters something like ~1600 (before taxes).
Your best bet to start job is something like ravintolaextra. look in

But I heard that Mikado is closing...problems with the licence/Russian ladies again.
If he is from Spain he could do worst than try after a waiters [email protected] Spanish restaurant...
