Personal Identity Code to be offered with Residence Permit

Beginning from next month, new immigrants to Finland can apply for and receive their Personal Identity Code right away along with their Residence Permit, and be granted it even before setting their foot on Finnish soil. No more living in a strange limbo state. (Except Finland, that is.)
