Re: Residence permit (family ties) processing
I finally got a positive decision today. I applied in march this year. This is my second rp application based on family ties because for my first one which i applied for in december 2016 we got a negative decision after one year of waiting (Dec 2017). I applied for the first Rp in my home country and after we got the decision, i came to Finland via Schengen visa and reapplied here. It was a rollercoaster ride but we are happy that the Rp stress is over.

Hi. Kindly share your case. When you first time applied rp. Why they rejected, what was the reason ?
Is your spouse finnish citizen?
Where are you from?
Thanks.

My spouse is a finnish citizen, i am African. My first application was via paper and my interview was at Abuja Embassy. Reasons for rejection they quoted one section of the aliens act. If you check the earlier pages of this thread i was posting about it.

Re: Residence permit (family ties) processing
British citizens don't need residence permit, yet. Proper protocol is to apply for the residence permit in your home country, but applying in Finland is also possible. While your wife is an EU citizen (until brexit kicks in) you don't need residence permit, you'll get issued residence card. Lawyer for that application... yeah... if you don't know how to answer questions like "Family name" "First names" "Gender" "Marital status" or can't take copy of your passport or provide documents about your marriage... maybe you do need a lawyer then.Sandhu.00099 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 07, 2019 10:39 pmHi there everyone I urgently need help my wife is British citizen she is living in Finland with resident permit about 2 month now we married 2 month ago also I am indian can I come with schengen visa and apply residency permit in Finland what documents required please help me also anyone why good lawyer in Finland who help us to soft out everything please please somebody can answer my query I really appreciate for this
