Wow, congratulations! I guess you are one of the lucky ones, 7 months waiting here, provided answers to supplementary questions (the same questions and answers that we already answered when filing our application) more than a month ago. Didn't hear from migri since - it is really nerve wrecking to keep waiting. Good luck to everyone.

Counting of processing time starts after embassy visitation. Fati: Did you applied online or paper application on the 9.3.2017?

Anyone with similar experience since currently starting 2017, Migri process all family reunification apps. on 9 months.
There are some similar applications that were submitted in 2017 and served with a decision within the same year, including mine. 9 months is the deadline and I’m optimistic that the processing times will be shortened since the backlog has been cleared. Good luck with your process!

That's Great Fati
Congratulations
l am after you, sharing your dates and mine for other's reference. Things are moving.

You applied 9th March On-line l applied 14th March Paper Form

You received additional 16 questions 12th September (6 months plus days) they sent us questions on 27th September (6 mo 13 days ) we got them 1st October as was travelling. (15 to me, 10 to spouse, 6 to our child).

Will submit in few days. They give 2 weeks to submit, and will decide regardless if information received, advised to send info to support decision (as mentioned)

You got Decision 25th September (13 Days after question request), hopefully l get soon.

You received Card 3rd October (8 days after decision), which is great

Then the steps for me, not sure if relevent to all

Change of address (domicile) at Maistraatti,

LoveMeMore hopefully this info will give you positive indications. Max time specified 9 months. There are cases it took couple of weeks to 5 weeks. And there are cases still waiting from last year.

When did you apply

Hopefully things starts moving for everybody

Well things should start moving a little faster, as Migri announces in their website "The residence permit applications for students beginning their studies in the autumn have now been processed". We know that these are always handled as urgent. Let's hope fast progress, as the next busy season seems to start in November, for the students who would start studies in January!

1. It should be A if the family member has A.

Visa is for visiting, Residence Permit for residing.

This is more for residence permits in general, short term or work related. Not family ties

What if family tie is Finnish citizen, not residence holder

Thanks

Then you may be granted an A type continuous residence permit, which is usually valid for a year.

Thanks Uzzdenus
Is it not specific A or B, isn't B temporary. how can family relation be temporary
Validity, if not mistaken could be more than a year. Based on what.
What is the experience on this forum?
Thank you

HI,

You applied since December 2016 and received a request to supplement in august.
Until now, have you received your decision? If yes, how long in total has it taken?
Your reply will be highly appreciated

LoveMeMore :D[/quote]
