Residence permit for an employed person

Post by shamnadps » Fri Jan 19, 2018 11:57 am

Hi,

I am from India. And I have applied for Residence permit based on employment.
My application process started on Sep 2017 and its still pending.
Could someone let me know how long this would take to complete. Have anybody applied for the same recently.

There are 4 steps as mentioned on the EnterFinland website.
1. Waiting for partial decision.
2. Waiting for processing.
3. In Progress
4. Decision is Ready.
It moved to step 3 as of 15th Jan 2018.
Below are the comments available on the EnterFinland Website.
8/31/2017 We have received the processing fee for your application. (€450)
8/31/2017 We have received your application and it is pending.
9/6/2017 You have sent additional information for the application. We have received it. The documents you sent are displayed in the application information.
9/13/2017 A customer number has been created for you. You can see your customer number at the top of the page.
9/13/2017 You have proved your identity and a diary number has been created for your application. You can see the diary number at the top of the page. Your application has been placed in the processing queue. We will contact you if we need more information from you. Our processing times can be found on our website at www.migri.fi
10/3/2017 Your employer has supplemented the application with attachments.
1/15/2018 The processing of your application has started. Contacting us does not speed up the processing of the application. If we need further information from you, we will send you a request through this service.
I have heard that the number of application at the migration services is too large this year and that why there has been a delay so far.
Does anyone know how long does it take on this to move to step 4. and migrations services make a decision?.
How would I know that the partial decision has been positive?. Could someone help on the above.

Thanks
Shamnad

The long wait is almost over. If your papers are in order and all your information are accurate, your application should be ready probably before the end of this month.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Hi Jack,

I have given all the information I know so far.
I have applied for Residence permit for an employed person.

Embassy visit for finger print and identification was completed on Sep 12.
EnterFinland status was "Waiting for Partial decision" since then.

Status changed to In progress on Jan 15th 2018.
There has been no other updates on it yet,

Can you please share the details of your application.

Was it a Residence permit application based on employment?.
On what date your application started?.
When did the status changes form 1,2,3 and 4 respectively in EnterFinland?.

Can you share the details from EnterFinland too. It will be really helpfull.
