Post by Kisan.agrawal » Sun Jan 21, 2018 11:41 pm

Hi,

I (indian citizen)am applying for Finland resident permit for myself- Work visa.
Should i apply separately for my wife (indian) and kid(US citizen) or can i apply thier application along with mine.

Either way, what is the process. Fyi my company is only processing mine. I have to apply for my family myself.

Have you read about the process from the Finnish immigration service: http://www.migri.fi/residence_permits and http://www.migri.fi/moving_to_finland_t ... ily_member

Visa is for visiting, Residence Permit for residing.

Hi

As far as I know. I do not think that the company can apply for yourself.
Each individual needs to apply for themselves.
You might need to create an account on Enter Finland and do so.

You need to create a separate account for your spouse and apply for her.
You can apply for your child either from your account itself.

Payments needs to be done for all 3 of you.
Once payment is done you might need to visit the embassy for identifying yourself and your family.

You need to legalize your marriage certificate if it was done in India.
Legalization is currently done in delhi. You can visit any notary and get it done in two days.

Since your child was born in US , I believe the birth certificate will already be a valid document and you might not need to legalize it.
In my case I had to legalize it in India.

And it takes a lot of time to get approved. Work permit might take upto 5 months.
Your spouse and kid's permit will take longer.

Please let me know if you need any information.

Hi,

You mentioned that Marriage Certificate Legalisation can be done by Notary in 2 Days.
Is that right? Because i heard :
1. the state has to sign first and then
2. Ministry of external affair will provide apostile

Is the above not required for Finland?
Can we just get the document Notarized?

Looking forward for your help https://www.finlandforum.org/memberlist ... le&u=81640

Hi

When we get married in India, we usually register it in the municipality or panchayath with in a district right?.
We usually consider this as the marriage certificate in India right?. This was received probably after 2-3 weeks of marriage.

The same certificate I took it to notary in Delhi. They did the apostilled and received on next day.
You just need to pay 1000rs for that to the notary.

Apostille is done on the back side of the marriage certificate document.
I hope you already have already registered your marriage and have received the marriage certificate. If not, then I think you might need to apply at the earliest.

I did the apostille at from Chamber No.165A, GateNo.11, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi.
