Hello, I am wondering which RP that I should apply for: Specialist RP or Normal Employment RP??
Let me briefly explain my situation
I am non-EU, and my major is not IT. I have experience as a web-developer less than a year in my own country.
I got an offer from a Finnish IT company as a backend developer.
I am afraid if my gross salary can be lower than 3000 euro (not heard yet) to apply for the specialist visa as I am a junior.
In this case, should I apply for the normal one, not a specialist?
This is because 1) My degree is not relevant to my job 2) My salary can be lower than 3000?
Is there anyone who has a similar experience to share with me?
Thank you in advance!!
Specialist RP or Normal Employment RP in my case??
Re: Specialist RP or Normal Employment RP in my case??
A shame there's no response here. I'm in a similar case (not totally tho).
1) Salary over 3000
2) No higher education
3) Job title in the contract is specifying IT specialist.
Could you share how it went?

“ As a rule, a specialist must have a higher education degree.”
You must have higher education degree. This is on migri website. https://migri.fi/en/specialists

” If an applicant does not have a higher education degree but still wants to apply for a residence permit as a specialist, the application must clearly explain why the work is an expert task that requires special expertise and why the applicant is qualified for the work. Special expertise can also be shown through an extensive employment history, in which case the applicant must submit his or her curriculum vitae, certificates of employment and other certificates of his or her studies in the field. It is always decided case by case whether an applicant who does not have a higher education degree meets the requirements for special expertise.”heretostay wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 6:45 pm“ As a rule, a specialist must have a higher education degree.”
