Bit tricky? or super easy?

Post by TOIKKA » Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:28 pm

OK I am keen to be wordsy at times so I will try to keep it short.
I am a Candian American, British citizen, I have lived worked or served in 36 countries, last year I had the amazing experience. Of all of the places my feet have wandered and explored, Finland is the only one I felt familiar with not like I was going there but returning. I can't explain it but I had always meant to be there. Since leaving I have felt the most incredible pull to go back like a magnet, an urge that is deep in me. It is all very confusing for me, as an EU citizen I know moving to Finland is not hard, I am also the grandson of a Finnish citizen my maternal grandfather was born there grew up there, fought the Russians then left, to work in the merchant navy eventually landing in San Fransisco meeting my grand mother and settling in San Fransisco. Later living in Marin finally Santa Clara where I was born to my Canadian father and half Finnish half German mother. My mother moved around many times during my childhood I never felt at home in the US I felt more comfortable in Canada where I moved back, to play ice hockey, circumstances saw me back to California and after losing everything I owned in an earthquake, my place of work condemned no job no home I joined the army serving as a combat field medic, having just about enough of bugs and bullets and missing seeing my kids grow up I opted to the reserves and do a degree in mechanical engineering. mounting bills and dwindling income I reenlisted in the army serving another stretch as a helicopter crewchief.
Recruited by the tech industry to Danka and temp assigned to working with Nokia in Dallas. I met a Finnish nanny working for nokia engineers. Sadly she had to return to Finland and I to Seattle, I was later transferred to Houston, then headhunted by Xerox and made redundant I took work in London. After a year I was recalled to active duty returning to the UK in late 2003 with indefinite leave to remain which I converted to citizenship in 2010. I ceased working for others and having my innovations taken on then being discarded after performing miracles. Whilst doing a research project as a favour for a friend I made a discovery, which led to an algorithm, which spawned one invention then 2 then 4 then 14 then 24 at present I have one patent in the process but I don't want to file it here outside the EU. I have decided the UK and my path has diverged, and I have been racially attacked called foreign scum reported it to the police in writing several times, for this I was falsely accused of drug trafficking the house was raided they found nothing. There has been an attempt on my life most likely by those trying to steal the patent, attacked by a racist for being foreign scum. I would bring all of my new technology including a new cooling tech for microprocessors, I can actively chill them to -130°C opening the world of superconductors, I can do this for no extra space in the computer just replace the heat sink and cooling fan. and I also achieve this for 230mA @ 5vdc thats just one I have a carbon negative power generation tech, climate controlled hyper farming. I get nothing but resistance here I have had my investment fund stolen £20,000 I have poured £200,000 into R&D and even have a marketing, global development, distribution, and civil engineer team. All working as volunteers now but I want to see them looked after for all their efforts, My marketing man is ready at a momnets notice to start hauling in money, my global development sspecialist has planned his life and education around this he studied and completed his BSc and is finishing his masters right now. I want to bring for right now my other half she is a fully qualified staff nurse and my mother who is 70 but is half Finnish and want to go home she says. The only other joining me at some point is my apprentice. His life has been focused on learning everything I do excceding it and someday to take over and carry on he is the son of one of my oldest friends, an exceptional young man of many tallents and lives to use them in work. He inspires me sometimes, and has spent over 3 years earning my respect.

So will it be easy with what I am and what I offer to make the transiton or will it be tricky. Knowing I can be attacked and the answer to a racist assault is the police tell me he has a lovely garden. I am not joking I have the email, he is trying to kick in our door shouting he is going to kill us and the police tell me he has a lovely garden. I guess this grandson of a Fin is requesting assylum.

Oh Hi my name is RIchard or Riku my father and I have no love lost I very well may change my name to honour my Finnish roots to Toikka I have 4 children all adults 3 from my first wife who vanished when the kids were all under 3 my forth child is adopted, but his new wife doesn't like me so we dont speak any more, only my middle child is interested in the family business and curious about living in Finland he wont go back to the US and feels the same as I do about the UK Brexit has brought the absolute worst out of this country. I never knew how racist they were. I'm Finnish looking blue eyes dark hair when I was there I saw lots of people who look like me. it was something I cannot discribe. everyone welcomed me, I was there becasue the EU and sent me there for the global Eureka Summit as a member of innovate. I am innovator of the year 2018 for my technologies

The question is bit tricky or super easy? I'd say in between. If you drown the officials and other Finns around you with that many words, the bit tricky will apply.

The question is will it be difficult or a bit tricky to become a Finnish citizen. I am an inventor bringing my talents and technology and for another 11 days an EU citizen. My other half is a registered Nurse, my grandfather is Finnish. I will also be moving with enough buy a house outright. Between €100,000 to 300,000. I only ask because I will need to travel to complete my research and launch my patents with global licensing. I bring highly profitable carbon-negative technology and jobs if they are wanted.

1- get a residence permit (I assume Brexit will end the EU approach)
2- learn Finnish
3- wait 4 years (while staying in Finland.)
4- apply for citizenship (and wait a while longer)
Depending on your situation steps 1 and 2 can be tricky, 3 and 4 will be easy.

Waitng on my permanent residence card. Doesn't hurt grandpa was born here. I fell in love with Finland the first time I was here. My love for my homeland only grows. I have lived worked or served in 37 other countries citizen of 3. But never truly felt like I was home. My technology is very welcome here.
