Aland islands resident permit

My wife is Icelandic citizen and I am from Pakistan. I currently have a study based resident permit from Poland which expires in December, 2019.

The Icelandic citizen wife lives on Aland islands where she works at a senior housing facility to take care of the elderly. She also owns a home here.

The Poland resident permit allows me to live Finland for 3 months with her and I am now here at her house on Aland islands.

I wish to submit a family based resident permit application here.

I would like to know the time frame in which this application is likely to be approved when submitted on Aland Islands which is part of Finland?

Is it better to submit paper application or use Enter Finland online website?

As there is no permanent Migri office in Aland, make sure you book time for the next time is available from here:

https://migri.vihta.com/public/migri/#/reservation

They have a service every 6 weeks. Next is from 28.8.

Also you can use it Turku office or any other office if you like it earlier. Apply via enterfinland as is always faster to process.

For EU family member you need nothing. Only marriage certificate and the marriage needs to be registered in Finnish Population Register.

As a spouse of EU, Nordic, Switzerland or Lichtenstein citizen, you'll get a residence card as you don't need a permit. https://enterfinland.fi/eServices/info/europeanpermits
