Hello everyone, i have a question for those with experience with family ties residence permits, i was granted 1 year residence permit based of family ties, i wonder, when should i apply for the extended RP, 3 months before my current RP ends, or on expiration date.

Maximum 3 month before your current RP expires. Not earlier. Ends/Expiration what difference you mean?
You have a text "Voimassa" on your card and below that text should be an expiration/end date.

I meant, if i need to wait until it ends.. or better if i qpply before it ends.

You have to apply BEFORE it ends. But not more than 3 months earlier.

ie. if your current RP expires at April , then you should apply extension at start of February. Nor earlier.

Oh, and fees for extension are 190e (online application)

Thank you very much for the info, i still have alot of time, i just got my RP, but i will to know things before.
