Terrible News, for us, but lets not forget, for the laid off employees as well. Some are really dedicated, helpful people and It must be terrible to have such insecurity in your job.

Migri got some more money so the temporary layoffs are called off. We will see what they do to the next years layoffs.

while everything being on computers it makes sense to reduce personnel and employ more AI bots with just few persons doing final checking and signing things. Not sure that 5 mil they got will be wisely spent on temporary solution. AI bots would make decisions and processing times faster and life for everyone easier, except for the ones who'd lose their job. But hey, they can retrain themselves to write AI codes, oh wait general AI would be able to write codes too. Maybe time for Univeral Basic Income and Universal Public Free Services?
