Hello,
I'm a Non EU citizen & have lived in Finland for more than 2.5 years & had worked here as a special expert.
I have Type A residence permit. But it will expire in February-20 & i need to apply for new Residence permit before that.
Now I have got permanent employment in Finland. So for how long (duration) i can apply for residence permit?
I read in some blogs that maximum i can apply for 2 years but i want to confirm is it really possible to do it or has anyone done it?
Thanks!!
AntMor

Normally you should have stayed in Finland for at least 4 years to get the permanent residence permit, so my guess is that they will give you another 2.5 years, and after that you can apply for a permanent residence permit or even citizenship

You don’t apply for a certain duration of permit. You only apply for the permit and Migri decides the amount of time to give you when processing your application.
