I really need answers for this few questions about student residence permit!

Post by houssam » Tue May 19, 2020 3:05 pm

My questions are:

1- My first question is about blocked funds, it allows, for example, to only withdraw a specific amount of money every month from your bank account, I wanted to know if it is necessary?

2- Is it possible that my aunt's husband ( uncle in law ) be the one who will secure my income for my studies ( sponsor ), the one who will give me the amount of money in my bank account for instance? if yes do I have to give proof of his identity?

3- Do I have to subscribe to the health insurance for all the period I intend to stay in Finland or for just every year? as I am applying only for a year at a time.

4- If I get the residence permit is it okay if I close my bank account in my country and open a new one in Finland When I go there, would closing the bank account be an issue?

5- I didn't finish my degree in my country because I did not like it and I wanted to start new in Finland, will it negatively affect my application if I put 'no education' in the current education section? since I graduated in 2017 from high school, and I have been In university since then, I am still a student there I just don't attend and with no degree.

6- Do I have to contact my embassy when I submit my application or wait for them to tell me what to do?

I will be grateful and appreciate anyone who would help me through this!

Thanks in advance.

Migri only checks that you have (barely) enough money at your disposal for living in Finland during the duration of the residence permit, otherwise there would be a huge problem with students without money mistakenly thinking they would be able to find a student job in Finland.

Migri wrote:You can have a bank account in any country, as long as you can use it in Finland. You must be able to withdraw money from the account when you are in Finland.
The only thing that matters is that you have the money, you will need it.
