Hi,
In a lot of countries I came across scales in Drugstores where you could not only measure your weight but also fat level etc. Have you seen in Finland? Turku?
Thx!

You should be able to buy a pair of scales that can measure body fat for less than €70.

Thanks for the info but I am just an exchange student and don't need it for a longer period of time..
.. on the second thought... maybe I can go somewhere and 'try before buy'

Not sure about in Finland, but here in the states most healthclubs/gyms offer body fat analysis free to entice people to join. I would assume that this is a good marketing scheme all over. So perhaps contacting a local gym to see if they do this as well.

probably nobody will read that anymore, but most of the "fat" scales,
don't give a reliable result.
if u really want to know about your fat content of your body, consult
your MD and he makes a BIA, if he has it...

Go to a gym and ask the instructors there... they'd know

You can also estimate your fat level with the following equation:
(1.2 x BMI) +(0.23 x your age) - (10.8 x gender) - 5.4
gender: men=1, women=0
BMI = Weight (kg) / (Height (m) x Height (m)
It doesn't work if you're very muscular.... like a bodybuilder... but otherwise it gives you a fair estimate.
