My quest was supposed to be. Was it possible to get first automated 3 months after proving my identity?
Did you submit your application and visit migri in consecutive days?
Also it's been a while since I submitted my application so I might have forgotten, but when did you pay for your application? I don't remember if you can pay at the service point or not, but if you paid on the day that you proved your identity, my guess is that your application officially entered the system at the time you pay for your application, and get initiallized on the day that you prove your identity. I personally wouldn't worry so much about getting/ not getting automatic email. It is set up in the system so if you get/not get automatic email, it still means that no one has looked at your application.

After 6 months, have you heard anything from them?
No, it was 15.08 that I got that automatic email. Nothing else since then. Looks like since 2021, the earliest someone has gotten decision was 7,5 months.
I hope Migri will do something about the backlog, since using covid as an excuse is getting lame. If the government plans to open the country by October, how will migri deals with coming foreign workers and student.

I proved my identity a week after I paid the processing fee.

Country not on the list, applied in April but was able to reserve the time only in May so proved my identity then. Paid for the application when I submitted it through enter Finland. No automated emails and still stage 1… I wonder if I was placed in a longer queue for some reason?

Oh and one more thing. The queue is barely moving for me. I was roughly 4700-ish when I submitted my application and I’m 4400-ish now.

Hello everyone! Since I proved my Identity in June, I've not been able to see my place on the queue due to the fact that Kamu broke down during the month of May and early June! I checked today and I could see my place on the queue, i guess the problem has been fixed😊 I just felt I should share this, so that others having this same issues to check if theirs is working.

@Stone360

Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup: What is your queue number? It now works for me too. Apparently there is 5200+ applications in front of me. Country not on the list.

I'm not sure if I should share this or not because it may be alarming, but I submitted at the start of April, and my queue number was in the low 5000s. It is now in the low 4300s. My country is not on the list.

Your place in queue went up?? When did you apply and when did you prove your identity if I may ask?
It could have been the case that you submit, paid and visited Migri within a few days, so there are people who visited after you but they submitted their applications before, so they are ahead in the queue compare to you.

Has there been anyone with a work based residence permit got unemployed when waiting for the citizenship application?

I wonder how would an unemployed period affect the decision, could one get a negative decision for that?

well, i applied in february, applied and proved visited the same day, it went up shortly after the backlog, but well i dont think the queue have any meaning, i contacted them, their response was that according to the actual queuing situation, the average is 8 months, i guess since my country is not in the list, so someone from the list should expect around 16 months maybe.

But one needs to have a realiable source of livelihood, at least during the whole period of residence and should continue afterwards, as far as I understand.

well I don't have the right answer . but I can say I've seen many people who have never worked getting it. some with even a shady past. but you can always ask a lawyer to be sure.
