Freedom of Movement of an EU Citizen Child

Post by Maaria » Fri Jan 29, 2021 4:30 pm

Hi!
Does anyone know if freedom of movement rights applies to a child who is the only EU citizen in his or her family?

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. So if I have a little child with Irish citizenship and I am no longer an EU citizen due to brexit, I can derive my rights from child as a family member of an EU citizen instead of going under brexit withdrawal agreement?

What would be the grounds for the child to exercise its right in that case?
Sufficient means of support?

What is the problem with registering under the withdrawal agreement?

Yes can be. Child will have sufficient means of support from my self-employment activity similar to sufficient means of support for an EU citizen based on the income his or her non-EU spouse.

There is no problem. I made my application ready under WA, just waiting for my appointment. But it just crossed my mind if applying under EU law would be better.
In that my spouse already has a residence card for a family member of an EU Citizen. So only I will need to apply.

If the child is a nordic citizen, does the parent have to deal with migri or do they simply go to the digital & population office?
