I have been on a researcher permit and have just got a new normal job (so will quit research and not doing both in parallel). I'm confused when applying my residence permit now, is it counted as changing grounds? Or still the same ground (work based) but just different fields? Should I apply for a first-time worker residence permit, or an extended permit, as my previous application for extended researcher permit is still pending at the moment? I checked migri's instructions (at https://migri.fi/en/extended-permit-on- ... is-of-work, and https://migri.fi/en/changing-the-ground ... pplication) but it's not very clear in my case, especially because my previous valid residence permit has expired already (migri says "apply for an extended permit if you change jobs while your residence permit is still valid") and I have not yet received a decision on my previous application.
Thanks a ton!
Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.

here https://migri.fi/en/extended-permit it says "Alternatively, you can apply for an extended permit on new grounds."
but since your previous permit has expired, it seems like at the moment you can only continue to work as researcher (since extension is not cancelled yet), not to start working on the new job.
