Music stores in Helsinki

Post by fionna » Thu Oct 02, 2003 3:24 pm

A friend in the US is looking for a new album which is apparently only being distributed in Finland, so she asked me to look for a copy of it.

I don't buy very much music, so my knowledge of stores is kind of limited - last night I checked the basement at Stockmann's and that place in the Forum, and neither store had the album. So I'm looking for a shop that might specialise in "hard rock" music, or goth music.

Any ideas, anybody?

Thanks, I'll try and call into both of those this evening.

I'm looking for the new album by Zeromancer, it's called ZZKYZ or something along those lines. I have absolutely no idea about it :)

You can order it from http://www.cdon.com, if you can't find it otherwise. (type zeromancer in the search field)

Zeromancer seems to be Norwegan / German industrial band, if that is any help.

Thanks!

The friend who wants it was only able to find it online for US$26, so I've sent her on that URL where it is significantly cheaper than that...

Fionna, try some of the smaller record shops in Punavuori, just off the 'viisi-kulma' junction.

Digelius probably won't stock that sort of stuff, but the other ones around it probably do.

Yeah... there's a great jazz record shop in that area of Punavuori...

This will be my first saturday "off" (no plans) since about April, so I'll be getting my ass down there tomorrow. Then the Liverpool game. Aaah... I can smell the weekend.... 8)

Yep, that's Digelius. I didn't know you were a Jazz man, Niall!?... If they have any musician adverts in there, let me know. :)
