An underground route from Kaisaniemi to Rautatientori?

Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.

An underground route from Kaisaniemi to Rautatientori?

Post by simakun » Sun Oct 12, 2003 12:04 pm

My partner and I have had a long-standing point of contention: she insists that there is an underground route from Kaisaniemi metro to Rautatientori metro. She even swears that her friend guided her through it one time but she can't remember how. I have tried and tried but never found such a route. Can anyone throw some light on this trivial dispute?

I think the Kluuvi parking garage is the key here.

Of course, the service tunnels allow you to haul ass from one end of town to teh other, but you need to join the army for that

These cut throughs via under ground car parks need mapping they are a great help in the slush season.
I was here 3 years before I found all of the routes.
The one which takes you from inside Stockmans (near the photography department) via the Sokos/Forum undergroud car parks to the railway station without coming up for air, for instance.

The Finnish thing - "they are for the ones who know".

If you get really inventive - you can get from kamppi to Kaisaniemi via the ug parkingtunnels...

Thru the carparks you say? well, I never thought of that. I must try it out the next time I'm downtown. thanks for settling this little thorny issue. Now I've got to tell her the good news that she's right afterall.
