According to a Brit friend of mine, the whole shopping mall will very quickly become nasally oppressive. At least that's what happens in the UK apparently.

Nobody ever told me not to put bubble soap in the bubble bath....
Now maybe I know why ours refuses to bubble any more. I think I have only ever used it twice, but now that it no longer works I keep thinking.... gees I would love a bubble bath. Sod's law of wanting something you know you can't have. We've tried changing the fuse and that did no good. How do I clean it if I can't get the bubbles to go? What do I look for in the yellow pages?

Yeah, my first thought exactly. 1980's and 1990's had those closet-saunas become popular. But like with me as we don't have a laundry room any more, it was a shower cabinet and enough space for the washing machine in my 2x2 bathroom. I guess you could drop a bath bomb into the pail of water in the sauna and it would have the same effect, sort of. I can feel some Jekell and Hyde experiments coming on here....

when I was apartment shopping one of my requirements was a tub. found 2 apartments like that (all other requirements met, too) within 2 weeks.
not sure if it gives a good idea on how common tub really are but before reading this thread I had no idea they were *that* uncommon.

I would guess there just isn't tubcultre in Finland. We replace soaking in hot bath with...
Sauna.
Today getting a jacuzzi is the thing. But still tubs tend to be curiosities.

Mine is from 1971. And if I remember correct when the previous owners did their bathroom renovation they made sure to contunue their lives with a tub. I bought one of those bathbombs in Dublin.
It's a 'pleasant' sensation, but no self-respecting heterosexual male should lie alone in a bath while the water gently fizzes and emits a lavender scent.
Plus, those strands of seaweed get where water can't.

He mainly uses it for washing the horse he keeps as a pet.

I bought a bath bomb for my SO for Easter. He is (should be) on a diet so I avoided chocolate and as he has excrutiating backache (after a weekend in an army camp) I thought a bath bomb would be a great idea. I got him the green one. I can't remember if it has seaweed in (no glitter though and no butterflies or roses). But thanks for the warning.
