Honestly i am so mad that those who take advantage of other people's trust and cheat money out of other people's pocket can get away so easily for the crime they literally committed. The one who frauded me is someone from Espoo named Bettina StCroix.

Use tori.fi only for cash-in-hand type of transaction.
For online transactions, use services like ebay where seller needs to build his reputation over the years, and easy to get your money back if things go south.

Next time go and visit there yourself (or ask someone else you know that lives close).

Not sure if it is her. I have never met that woman in person. I know her real name because it is the name on the court letter. I suggested picking up and she said she moved to Vaasa, then I said a friend can pick it up for me and she said her grandma died so she was taking a road trip.

I wanted to purchase a computer listed on tori.fi. I suggested the seller that I can pay her cash on delivery as the amount was not small (>1000€). The seller (Finnish name) insisted that she cannot send the computer before she sees the money in her account and she needs the money quicker because of Christmas. My mistake, I thought Finnish people are very honest, so I paid the money to her account. And she disappeared after that.

Now what are my options other than blaming myself? Looking at previous threads on this forum, I understood that I won't get the money back. It's not the small amount for me but now it's not even about money, I want to believe in the Finnish system. I want to make sure that she doesn't get away with my hard-earned money easily. Please suggest, what everything I can do in this situation?

Thanks.
I would never send 1000 euros up front with bank transfer. In my opinion these kind of deals can only be done in cash. I have driven with a car from Helsinki to Turku, Lahti and Tampere. And picked up many items. Only once in Lahti seller was not at home and did not respond to my phone calls.
