Hello all
Today I travelled to Helsinki areas without ticket and I got caught and received a bill with 80 e of fine. I have already paid . But I am afraid that my mistake will be recorded on criminal record or credit record. I worry that this mistake will stop me from renewing visa next month. Is it possible? I appreciate your thoughts
Will penalty fare effect my future ?

Good that you got fine. And I don't think this goes into Criminal Record territory. Or I can be wrong.

betelgeuse's legal information is usually very accurate.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Hello,
No, you will not appear on any criminal record because of the penalty fare. The HSL penalty fare is not a fine for not obeying a law. You have just paid a much higher fare instead of purchasing a normal ticket before travelling. Hoping the best for your future!

As it was already answered, people who inspect your tickets in public transportation aren't polices and can't give you real ticket. As long as you pay it up in time there is no way you could get any markings in your criminal records. Actually you don't get any markings to your criminal records from police tickets also, only from convictions in court as far as I know.
