5th June application
26th August request for travel info
27th August replied with 3 years of travel history and latest payslips
28th August decision

In Helsinki

That seems really fast, right? I am think perhaps it is because I have had a couple of security clearance checks in the last few years for work.

Needless to say, I am very happy.

What do you guys recommend?

Tell them what were your sources of income.

I didn´t have any source of income. I was getting money from my parents and my own savings. I could show some bank statements of mine. Should I add also some bank statements from my parents?

Hi MC Deli!

Congrats on the quick processing! If i may ask, did you provide info about travel history on the application, or did you leave it blank, and only provided info when they asked for it ?

As for source of income when applying, do you have to provide source of income for all time spent in finland or only last 6 months at the time of applying ?

Thanks a lot and congrats!

Getting money from your parents is also an income. Regarding to parents' bank statements, it would be better to ask migri directly. But if they want them, they will tell you anyway.

I left the travel info blank. I was asked for 2015-present travel. So, I made a spreadsheet: to-from-date-days-reason

It was actually really tough to find all the info from old emails/calendars and it delayed my application by a day. So, if you are in a hurry, I would prepare this in advance ;)

I presume everyone gets asked for the travel history, yes?

It has been weirdly long for many people. I looked at that processing time calculator and the number 3968 applications in a queue has been the same for a month, in June it was 4100 applications or something. I'm wondering if they are processing them at all.

Sadly, no updates for me. Also applied in the middle of March and it went into stage 2 a month ago, but nothing’s been asked neither a decision was made.. it became very stressing to wait ever since it’s been in the stage 2, especially when reading other people’s feedback that it took like just several hours:(

I applied on 7th Feb and my application is still in first stage.
It is so frustrating. Even the migri.fi calculator is saying that your application is taking longer than expected.
Migri has very less work force that is why there are delays in the applications.
It is so unfortunate, but we can do nothing but wait patiently. (I am talking like migri personnel)

And on the top of all, now this:
https://migri.fi/artikkeli/-/asset_publ ... geId=en_US
So, in June there was a bulletin of the citizenship applications delays, in July the residence permit applications backlog and now the students’ applications amount has grown up:(
I really don’t want to panic but it seems like the situation is getting worse and fast..

Not all stage 2 took hours ..My stage 2 lasted a whole 5 months out of total 9 months processing time so I guess Patience is the key

May be I should take up this matter to ombudsman. Lately there have been cases with residence permits which took more than the due time process, and the applicants complained to ombudsman, and they were given RPs in a week.....!
