4 of my friends that applied in February 2019 all enter stage 2 this week.

1. Could you please update the status of your 4 friend applications? did any of them already receive the decision?
2. Could you please also inform us what date they applied in February 2019? and from which City?

As per my information, all February applicants are still waiting. My application will complete 1 year after 2 days.
Perhaps migri calender works differently...in fact their calander works differently for every person. Those who crossed 1 year, migri ask them to be patient. Those who applied a few months ago, migri offer them citizenship.

I want to know how long does it take to get the decision after supplement request? I got one on 8 Jan and replied on 11 Jan since then still waiting.

You dont know the circumstances of those who applied later and may have gotten citizenship earlier than those waiting longer. They may have been stateless and that is a different queue with a much higher priority. As frustrating as it is to wait, I think migri is doing the best they can with the resources they have.

If the official processing time is 11 to 12 months, then it is 11 to 12 month. If there is a special queue, please specify it there. Upon which circumstances it all depends. Maybe now I don't wanna take a long holidays somewhere else, so that in the future in a year or two when I apply they don't dump my application in the very end of the line if it exists. In fact I checked official time checker, and for those who don't have any passport it's 11 month processing time.

I personally know some people who had the same circumstances as I have, but they got the decision in a few months....what would you like to say about it????
I know very well that migri is very nice with those who are stateless and very rude with those who are tax payers...

The only problem is that migri is not doing best although it has sufficient resources. And the most important thing is that migri is not following the law.


What kind of system it is that some people are given priority and others are put on longggggg hold, and the answer from migri is that it is automation system.....to hell with.....

As I know from many people and friends, they got decision within few hours or the next day after they responded to the supplement request. You must have received decision now. Its migri incompetency and negligence.

Biggest reason right now is lag of money. Fin government decreased a lot amount,
what they are giving for migri, migri had fire about 100 workers end of last year.

Sooo... Everyone can understand what that makes for queues.

Because of that, my wife had to wait over 2 month to get 4 year extension for her RP too.
Normally, (before Christmas) everyone got extension under 1 month.

The issue is not that every one is getting decision late, but the issue is that some people are getting decision quickly, others are on long hold. And it is nothing to do with migri resources or employees....it is about common sense...it is about justice.....it is about law....and it is a about migri incompetency.
And by the way, 4 years ago when I applied for my work permit extention, migri took 9 months for it. At that time, there was no problem of money or shortage of employees...but again that was because of migri incompetency or migri employees personal likes and dislikes.
I would have no objection if everyone gets decision late or if there is a REAL queue. But holding decision for some people for more more than year without giving any reason or justification is sheer injustice which should be taken notice by higher authorities.

Since my application completed 1 year, migri stopped answering my emails.......why? Because now they have nothing to say why are they delaying my application beyond official processing time.

Is there any institution which could keep check on migri?????

There is no waiting period in the citizenship law, so MiGri can consider applications for as long as it takes. The waiting time on the site is an approximate time, depending on the current situation and workload. They are of course slowpokes, and it is not clear what they do, but unfortunately no one will help speed up the process, since they do not violate any laws. My friends aplied in first days of april, still waiting. I got citizenship after 8 months Of waiting one year ago.
