At last my application moved to stage two today.

Proved identity on 7th Feb. Lets see how much time they take to give the decision. Took them 9 months and 14 days to start processing.

PS: For future applicants, do not apply in Helsinki , apply elsewhere as the other centers takes less time in processing of application be it permit applications or nationality. (Just my observation and experience)
I did not apply in Helsinki but still it's going to be 9 months now and my application is still on stage 1. I do not think that city matters... what matters in migri cases is just LUCK.

Congrats and thanks for telling details...
Hi "Finland2015"!

I understand your frustration of waiting for so long (9 months)

Regarding the message you received after waiting for 9 months being same as what you received after you proved your identity is very unusual /weird.

However, I would personally see it as a really good sign that my application is "finally noticeable in the system" rather than waiting and waiting and waiting without any sign of it moving to stage 2 or being asked for additional documents.

Personally, I would not think too much about that message from MIGRI if I see in my processing time checker that the decision time will be between 11 to 12 months from February 2019 (I.e between January to February 2020)

I will definitely be worried if all of a sudden the processing time checker thinks I confirmed my identity in November (going by the email you received) and give a decision period of between October to November 2020. So, if the processing time checker gives your estimated decision time as between January to February 2020, you just need to calm down.

I know calming down in these situations of waiting for decision is almost impossible. Like myself, I used to pretend that I have never applied for any citizenship or do not know anything about that subject matter. Also, I did not want to look up for this forum so as to erase the notion in my mind that I applied for citizenship but guess what, after few minutes or hours, anxiety was creeping in and forcing me to think a lot about my application and check out my enterfinland account.

You should also not disturb MIGRI by following up your application every now and then. ( Not even once) Just wait until they make a decision. Remember, we are all trying to ask MIGRI to admit us into their country as its citizens so they are the ones calling the shots.

Lastly, I know you or even "supermies" as well as all of you waiting for decisions for at least 6, 7, 8 or 9 months, you should expect a decision before the end of this year because the government gave additional funds to MIGRI not to lay off some of its workforce. So this means only one thing: i.e more and more decisions will be made each week.

All the best.

Totally normal processing time so I don't see why to attribute it to any object of faith.

They did not ask for any supplement, since I had been updating my application regularly. (uploading my salaray sllips, and travel info for each month)

Its a personal choice to thank HIM. If you don't feel like that, than I cannot force you, similarly you cannot question about my attribution. Its all about faith and it is mainly associated with religion and more importantly if you FOLLOW religion, be it any. I do not want to get into that discussion, since it is not the place to talk about :) And above all its time to celebrate so I can take some liberty :)

Did migri asked bank statement for the whole year also from you?
I don't think that bank statement is something migri usually asks in citizenship application process. Maybe if one is self-employed.

Migri demanded bank statement from somebody from one of the member of this forum, that I read once here

I think they ask bank statement from those who declare their bank balance as a mean of support.
