I came to Finland in 2006, registered with Police, so I am all legal! is there any point in me applying for a permenant residence permit if UK is leaving EU anyway?
I did not vote to leave...... and like everyone else, waiting...waiting....waiting for a decision on our status...

You can't apply for residence permit now as you are EU citizen. Technically after 29th you'll need to apply for residence permit, but no one seems to know what the procedure will be. You shall register as EU citizens in Finland as long you can do it. This is the advice on Migri website.
