Do you expect to get another contract after 4 months is over? I ask because processing the permit will possibly take that long and then you will have to show them a new contract.

When we (my wife and I) were at the same time interval, Immigration told us to apply for the Permanent and if they didn't consider us to have met the requirements, they would simply issue another 4-year. We received a Permanent residence.

This was a couple of years ago.
